Drive business with the Sales module
Missing out on a sale can sting. Maybe you were too busy and missed a key follow-up. Maybe you misplaced some essential customer information. Regardless of how it happened, one way to combat this is to set yourself up for success with the tools to support you throughout the sales process. Mobile Office Manager’s Sales module has everything you need to keep up with your opportunities and leads, including generating estimates, managing tasks, and more.
Over the past few months, we’ve made a couple of helpful adds to the Sales module that can make handling potential deals that much easier. Here are 4 tips paired with our recent updates to efficiently track your sales and ultimately drive your business.
Tip #1: Personalize your sales connections
Less and less deals are secured in-person. Forbes reported that from 2015 to 2018, connecting virtually with potential customers jumped 3.2 times that of meeting face-to-face. While this may not come as a surprise, keep in mind that this makes it even more difficult to distinguish yourself from your competitors and build relationships without that in-person interaction.
One way in which MOM can help is through personalized emails. You could already send emails through the Sales module and set up your own template. However, now, this recent add lets you send emails straight from MOM (so you can stay organized in the system), but they then appear in the sent folder of your personal email account (such as Outlook). Plus, by customizing your template to address specific concerns and solutions for each customer, you’re on your way to adding a personalized human-touch to each interaction.
Tip #2: Timely replies can seal a deal
It’s critical to stay organized with your sales, especially if you run a small business and have a lot of tasks already on your plate. MSNBC revealed that one expert way to boost sales is to “get back to those leads quickly”. That can be easier said than done, particularly if you can’t remember when to follow-up or reach out to a customer. Mobile Office Manager has two recent adds that make staying organized that much easier. First, when you add a sales task in MOM, it will sync up with your calendar and provide you with notifications. Second, there’s now a bell symbol on the top right of MOM providing you with alerts for all tasks that are due. These two updated features should help keep sales opportunities from slipping through the cracks.
Tip #3: Track your opportunities
Did you know that there’s a least 5 follow-ups required after the first meeting for the majority of potential sales? You already have some new tools (mentioned in tip #2) to remind you to follow-up, but now you also have an opportunity tracking feature to manage your sales. Recently added to MOM, this lets you adjust your opportunities by both color and percentage, so you can clearly see where a potential deal is in your sales pipeline. This is an asset if sales keep getting missed, but you can’t put your finger on where things fell apart. Now you know most commonly at what stage a potential client opted out of the process and can course-correct your actions.

Tip #4: Automate what you can
Part of what makes MOM such a valuable tool in your sales process is its ability to automate processes. Tech news site CIO says sales reps need to spend less time on administrative tasks. Having an ERP system in place to provide automation can cut down hours spent on those responsibilities that are necessary but time-consuming. MOM’s Sales module has so many automated features from generating estimates to reporting. One new addition is for collecting equipment data. Now, when a lead converts to a customer, you can collect data right away on all the equipment that’s under service. This is just another easy-to-use feature to make managing your sales faster and more straightforward.
